Office Photo Printers

Generally office printers and office printers are two different breeds of devices that don't mix. You find them at separate ends of the scale targeting completely different audiences. But the fact is some offices do need to print high quality photos for various presentations of brochures.
This is where the Canon Pixma MX700 multifunction office photo printers come in handy. The MX700 offers photography of impressive quality at high speeds even on regular paper and can do most of what any other office dedicated all-in-one prints.
The reasonable mid-range price also doesn't chase potential customers away. As design the Canon Pixma screams 'professional' as soon as you set your eyes on it. The silver and gray exterior seems high quality and looks pretty good. As size it will comfortably fit on most desks as it measures 18.9 x 18 x 9.5 inches and weighs just around 23 pounds. On top of the printer you'll find the ADF that also supports legal size documents. Whenever you have a large number of pages that are waiting to be scanned, you'll appreciate the ADF because it lets you avoid scanning every single page individually.

On the front you'll find the control panel, two memory card slots and a PictBridge USB port that allows direct printing from compatible digital cameras. On the control panel there's a 1.8 inch color LCD screen that pivots and is of much use when navigating through the printer's menu or previewing photos. There's a specific button for each of the printers functions, copy, fax, scan and another for memory card. Those buttons allow you to switch the mode of the device.
As always the pages per minute the manufacturer claims and the actual reality of the situation aren't one and the same things. While Canon claims faster speeds, the Pixma MX700 office photo printers can reach 10 pages per minute for text and about 3.5 pages per minute for graphics. While still fastest than most of its competition, it would be nice if you could rely upon what print speeds the manufacturer gives for once. Paper capacity consists of a 150 sheet rear input tray and a front input tray of 110 sheets of paper.

The front tray only supports regular paper while the back tray can handle several types of media including photo paper. Under the shell reside four separate ink tanks, a pigment based black ink, and three dye-based color inks. As for printing quality, text is nice and crisp, not identical to the quality of a laser but nothing to complain about. For photos the only thing you can really complain about is the tendency of the printer to make flesh tones look slightly orange.
Along with the printer you'll be getting plenty more from Canon in terms of software. There is a lot of software bundled that includes stuff for scanning and photography. As a conclusion, the Pixma MX700 is one of the top multifunction printers that can serve offices well and provide good photo prints at the same time.
