Hp 4260 Laser Printer Info

The HP Deskjet D4260 is part of the inkjets that are not too expensive, an asset that combines well with the quality and the features it was provided with. Speaking of price, it costs only $70, according to its home use purpose. However, even if the HP Deskjet D4260 was created for home use only, it was enriched with enough power and printing qualities to surpass other inkjets of its category. It has impressive print quality for colored documents, even if the text printings will not have such a good printing quality.

The HP Deskjet D4260 was designed following a classical line. Its dimensions are not too big; it has 13.5 inches depth, 7.6 pounds, and 5.7 inches height. You can easy handle the paper tray, which is placed above a 100-sheet input tray.

The power button and the feed/continue button, as well as the Photosmart Essential button, are displayed on the control panel, and are easy to access. You can find out if the ink runs out from the lighted icons, and you can connect your camera, USB memory card readers and drivers from the USB port from under the control panel.

The ink is separated into two tanks: one of them has black ink, and the other colored, both of them having enough ink to print many documents. One standard black tank can print 175 papers, while the bigger tank can print 650 documents. There are also two versions of colored tanks, the small has a capacity of printing 170 papers, and the XL color tank can be used for printing 520 documents. The prices range between $18 and $35 for the color tanks and $15 to $30 for the black ones.

The features the HP Deskjet D4260 was equipped with are not so many, compared with the other bigger business printers, but it will ensure qualitative basic tasks for home use. Within these limits, the HP Deskjet D4260 can be seen as a performing and reliable printer, which will be easy to handle once you’ve read the manual duplex print jobs. This printer isn’t duplex-ready as other machines from the same class, this is why you will have to use the already mentioned manual to fulfill these tasks. There are also other interesting features that the HP Deskjet D4260 was equipped with, such as the an USB port for connecting cameras, USB drives such as flash thumb drives and hard drives, or the USB memory card readers.

As for the color tanks, there is the possibility to replace the black tank with a tricolor photo ink, which will be offered by HP to print six-color photos. If you want to better organize, print or edit the photos, you can install the HP Photosmart Essential software available on a CD that comes together with the HP Deskjet D4260. This software can be accessed from your computer, or directly from the printer. The options this software offer are among others the red eye reduction possibility, other corrections to unclear photos, and color treatments.
